FOR SALE 2.5" Wagenswest welded dropped spindles

  1. Hi do you still have these for sale? Cheers Mike

  2. Bump - still available at £280 plus post.

  3. Hi there. Am after a set for a 72 crossover. Wagenswest do them for $325. Have you returned your old ones to them?

  4. They do, you're right - good luck with sending a set of spindles to the US (then paying the import duty, VAT etc. to get the replacements back in the UK). I reckon by the time you've done all that you will have shelled out the thick end of £450.

I bought mine from a friend in the UK, you'd have to check if they would fit a '72 - basically if you have the later (wider) calipers on the front, retained by M14 bolts then these should fit.

  5. Cheers for the info. I did not think of the shipping cost and weight to the U.S.

I want the front lowered but do not want adjusters put in as I hear they are not the best way to go. Need to get some advice on this as I am clueless about how this is done.

The brembo parts are just covers and the calipers are under but running porsche cup 3 alloys at the min 17" on adapters.

Also need to find someone how can fit them. Will do a bit of research this weekend.

Will hopefully contact you next week threecountiesdubber

Raging I missed these. Don't know how I did. :( If anyone else has dropped spindles for sale I'd be interested.

  9. Yep pics would be good. Really wanted these but not sure if they fit my bus. Good luck with them and let us know here with a before and after if possible. Imgolfman.

Oh my Rez you only missed them by a day.

  10. Doh. Can anybody advise? What is this spindle off? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372442824.932465.jpg
The one on the right is 2cm shorter than the original?

  11. Right - I need some assistance with identifying these spindles. They were sold in good faith (as they were bought) as spindles for a Baywindow bus. Based purely on the fact that the brake caliper fixings are M14 and not having my own bus apart to be able to compare, I believed them to be for a Late Bay but obviously they're not!

'imgolfman' bought them from me on Friday and has now found that they have shorter axles (obviously I will be issuing a full refund!).

I've hunted around on the net but other than some talk about folk fitting Porsche 944 front hubs and some mention of difference between Early and Late bay spindles, I'm none-the-wiser.

Obviously Early Bays have drum brakes ('68-'70 I think) then it seems that there is another type of spindle from '71-'72 and another for buses up to '79.

Based on the information I was given on purchasing them, I was told they are Wagenswest spindles and certainly I can't find anyone else that produces 2.5" drop welded spindles.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful!
