So after a busy couple of months I got round to getting the gearbox out a couple of weeks ago and sent it off to Oakdene transmissions in Nottingham. And less then 2 weeks later I picked it up complete with new torque converter. Can't fault the guys there, they really know there stuff. It's now back fitted and after a quick trip there today as it wasn't changing through the gears right it now runs flawlessly. I've also taken out the microbus seats as a mate was after some and I probably wouldn't have kept them in long term. So in its place I've thrown a westy continental rock and roll bed in and also plan to make a couple of buddy seats that turn into a bed for the boy so he has a bed. Pic's to follow in a minute.
Fitted a couple of 3 point seat belts and a lap belt in the back tonight as well as checked the fuel line on the expansion pipes good job i did
Took the van up the road this weekend, amazing how your only 8 miles from home and it's the first time we've been and walked the high peak trail, or part of it. Also visited Matlock castle. Managed to sleep 2 children 2 adults and 2 dogs in the tin top and cook all our meals on the Cobb.
