  1. evening all

I've got 2 brand new 1/4 light upright frames and have noticed there isnt a little tab on them for the bottom of the C frame to clip into like there was on the originals (beyond reuse)

is this gonna be a problem? ....can I still use the new ones and how do you go about using them with out the clip .....should I drill and self tapper the C frame to them?

    any help appreciated

  2. where did you get the frame from? As it should have something there... glass won't stay in the seals properly otherwise!!

Last ones I got my hands on, I had to replace the cold form rivets as they just pulled out!!

  3. if you click on the image, you can see the bit that is supposed to be on them!!

either make something to go on them, or get some new new ones ;)

  4. lol not at that price !!! £45 each

guess I'll make up a little tab......any tips on how I should attach it? - pop rivit from the other side so it doesnt interfere with the drop glass? ....dont think Id get the welder in there

the fixing point is on the opposite side to the drop glass, so it you put a screw through it put it in from the drop glass side and it will stick out where its not in the way. i think pop rivet will do the trick, but i have fitted a few which were a bit rotten and when they are bolted in the door plus the upright hold the glass and seals in plenty tight, where its gonna fall out from?

  6. thanks mate, might give pop rivits a go :)
