I don’t drive in that lundun I escaped, East Grinstead has the cleanest air in Europe it just beats the Alps
Queuing in London with lots of other people isn't much fun, but London drivers tend to be more positive than in any other city I've driven in.....more of a we are all buggered so let's not make it worse for each other.
I quite like driving my bus in London. Its big enough for the Chelsea Tractor brigade to take notice and you can see where you are heading for...
I’d rather stuff wasps in my pants than drive in London, or any big city for that matter. Though I occasionally have to take my truck in to some!
Well!! I’ve just checked all 4 of my vehicles and it says they are all liable to pay. Surely the Landmark should be exempt?
There was a documentary about a delivery van driver in London I watched The stress is phenomenal because they are under pressure with delivery deadlines, I remember him saying Ya just shuv ya way arrand an cut every (see you next Tuesday) up Givum a little wave annat takes tha sting aatta vit
The value of classics could go up then for all those that are registered there as they could be become a daily vehicle!
If it’s registered as historic it should be fine. But it’s odd that the number plate checker doesn’t reflect that. Maybe a glitch they’ll sort out later. Here’s what they say.... Historic vehicles You can apply to stop paying vehicle tax if your vehicle was built more than 40 years ago. This date moves forward on a 40-year rolling system. Assuming the rules stay the same, when the ULEZ launches in April 2019, vehicles built before 1979 will be eligible to apply for historic vehicle tax class. All vehicles that have a historic vehicle tax class will be exempt from the ULEZ. This tax class excludes any vehicle used commercially (for example, coffee vans or street food vans). In line with the existing LEZ discount all vehicles registered before 1 January 1973 will be exempt from the ULEZ, regardless of commercial use or otherwise. If your vehicle meets the above criteria and is registered in the UK, it is automatically exempt and you don't need to register with us. If your vehicle meets the above criteria but is registered outside the UK, you are also exempt, but will need to register with us. Details on how you can register will be available closer to the time.
Must do about 5000miles a year in London....on my bicycle. But I’m the exception. Bus is exempt from ULEZ cos it’s running LPG. So there. Doesn't cover oil leaks so I safe for now. Not that I ever drive inthe congestion charge /ULEZ area as I’m just outside. You’d have to be insane or a prius taxi driver from 3rd world place. Love London, so much better than marrying your sister
There's no such place as that London. I tried to get to it once and got just past High Wycombe and ended up in a giant car park. No such place.
Good job Brizzle has plenty going for it as it's only 1mg/M3 behind London (10 as opposed to 11) which puts it right on the cusp .....?
I used to take issue with people who said to me "oh yes I'm from London as well" when they meant Wimbledon, Penge, Hemel Hempstead, etc etc. but then I spent about ten years studying just off the river near Fleet Street and Holborn, so probably overly protective of the "title" Londoner? Used to be a great place in the 70's and 80's ... chunks of it at least, but something went skew ... maybe because I left
