10 years studying?!! Get a job you hippy! :) (I’m saying that back in time)

I lived in Wembley in 1966 I like to think my presence helped us win the World Cup :D

  2. Exactly!! Its all about money and revenue! Its like back when speed camera’s were introduced, we were told they would only be put in accident black spots and were definitely not for earning revenue from the motorist!! We now have camera’s in bus lanes, traffic lights, yellow box grids, red routes all earning local councils millions!

In 2040 when they stop making new cars with petrol and diesel engines, there will be taxes on electric cars and cycles, how else will they make their lost revenues.

Does anyone know if a t2 is actually a high polluter .I've no idea , and the mot man doesn't even check the fumes as I understand because of its age it's exempt . But still would be nice to know if it is a high polluter

Knives will be taxed to the eyeballs by then. That should bring in some cash.
That and vape juice, they haven’t caught up with the lost revenue there yet.

Anyway, it’ll be like The Jetsons apparently. We’ll be wafting around on magic scooters that hover above the ground using Maglev technology and delivery vans will be replaced by battery powered drones.

Another thing that gets added to the bill if you Cockney's want any work done to your house/office.

I like what you did with the thread title and spelling of London @Kkkaty.

I think that should be the official spelling of that place from now on

That's not the whole story I'm afraid .... total of 17 years not counting primary  ... It's what comes of refusing to split arts and sciences, not knowing what "path" to follow, being pushed through school too early (A levels at 16) and having grandparents prepared to stump up an "advance" for fees to do Osteopathic training ..... So now you know (SOME of it )

  8. Go to Cambridge on the 28th. April, we have the annual St. Georges Day rideout with LOADS of scooters riding through the centre of Cambridge, holding up the traffic and all making a huge racket, chucking out 2 stroke smoke. I find it hilarious those with masks and holding their noses!
Rest assured people, we are carbon neutral with most of our machines over 40 years old and doing over 100 miles per gallon.
Surely high fuel useage vehicles should be targeted, what is the point of a new range rover doing 25mpg and having a 'clean' exhaust? Not very clean creating/transporting all that extra fuel is it????

Knowing your success with Lancasters, it's a blooming miracle we managed to score a goal let alone win it!

Just as well you weren't at the match itself!:)

When I had my standard carbs set up properly, the guy used the immisions equipment to help set it up and he said at 2k revs it was as clean as a modern car ( allegedly ).

  11. You are 5 days late for St George's day is that because of your slow moving transport ;)

  12. Ha Ha! Nah, its cos it's always on a Sunday

  13. I just reg checked my 1973 bus and it is not exempt according to the web checker. It has historic tax class though. Bloody government disinformation again!

  14. I have entered both the bus (1973) and the MG (1960) and both come up as liable to £12.50 charge - but exempt in the LEZ - not that I am ever likely to drive into central London ever again.

  15. I just checked here :-

    https://www.ulezchecker.com

and it says my van is exempt (until i stick a massive tractor diesel engine in it!)

Mine appears to have to pay the ULEZ, but not the LEZ.

  17. I used to have an uncle Les

  18. Hallelujah - at last there's an actual benefit of owning a late, late bay.

My Brazzer is classified as Bio fuel because they run on Bio-ethanol in Brazil so it's LEZ and ULEZ compliant.

    Shame I never drive there.

  19. Oooh I could drive to work tomorrow then as it’s excempt. Trouble is the parking would cost me £75 for the day and propably the same in petroleum after sitting in that traffic.
