i'd imagine it's just at "normal" now? none of these exageratted mpg claims we see on here, due to new heads with working valves, correctly sealed exhaust and no air leaks?
I just wondered if you'd made some changes and I'd missed it. Goes to show it does no harm to take things apart and put them back together again with a torque wrench and new seals.
Yeah but he put new heads on which I am pretty sure will be the major factor wouldn't you say? If he had put the old ones back on it wouldn't have improved things would it?
It might be down to the smoothness of your new windows I remember getting 18mpg back when i had FI and mines a manual so i think you should be happy with that. Now i get about 20mpg with my twin Dells and a bit more grunt.
just back, the lord himself came to wave us off, went home bala lakes way stopped for lunch then through llangollen etc bus ran well, bloody new starter is sticking tho! had to tap with hammer the other morning, other than that 260 trouble free miles and all is well.
had a load of security bollards at work that they changed the spec' on going spare so i had me one to make bolly safer when there's no car behind.
can't get into engine bay without removing and need to get in to connect battery so will never reverse into it.
