The judge was impressed that he stuck to the same story all the way though from the first person to the now.
wow i am suprised as i was in johannesburg a few weeks ago and the genral opinion was if he got away with it there would be issues,
He's so far been found not guilty of premeditated murder, the judge can still find him guilty of murder, culpable homicide or manslaughter
Not at all surprised. We were there in April/May and it was all but a foregone that he'd cop for a lower charge if anything. The accidental shooting of family members is not THAT unusual in SA! http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Dad-accidentally-kills-daughter-in-robbery-20120518 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...eenage-daughter-he-thought-was-a-burglar.html
It is up to the prosecution to establish beyond reasonable doubt that there was pre-meditation for the most serious charge to stick, that of pre-meditated murder. She was not convinced that this was proved by the prosecution as there was not the level of consistency required from the witnesses to establish events that would show that Pistorius planned to kill Reena as a pre-meditated act. It looks like he'll probably cop for culpable homicide. I'd have thought that discharging your gun through the door of the he bathroom like that, it's fairly obvious to a reasonable person that you're likely to kill someone, but we shall see what the judge has to say after she's finished her lunch.
I thought he'd go out tonight and get absolutely legless but apparently he can still be sentenced for manslaughter, I can't see him running away from that one
