To be fair that wasn't in doubt, the whole of SA knew he'd get that verdict at the least. It was the Murder charge he needed to dodge.
Now the money will talk.

 

I'm not sure he's going to dodge a prison term without some serious uproar about it. There seems to be a particular issue being highlighted by this case concerning violence against women, and the undercurrent that I have sensed from this whole affair (when taking all the charges against Pistorius) is that this is a man far too familiar and comfortable with guns, who probably shouldn't be.

Guilty of culpable homicide, guilty of mishandling a firearm in a public place (restaurant). Not guilty of all other charges. Sentencing to take place on October 13th, Oscar bailed until then.

 

One thing we can be reasonably sure of is that OP is as thick as sheeeet.
Personally I find it impossible to believe that on hearing a noise, rather than check his GF hadn't gone for a pee, he fired 4 shots through a closed door into a tiny cubicle. It's so plain he did it on purpose and everyone knows it, but it can't be proved. I imagine it's for such scenarios that the charge of culpable homicide was dreamed up.

Money talks eh? He'll get a sentence long enough to prevent a riot, then appeal it and by the time they finish that he'll end up in jail for a couple of years if at all. We should have a sweepstake.

 

If you were really cynical, then you might say that his release date would be with just enough time to board a plane for Rio in 2016.........

 

I am really cynical, it'll be "should his whole career be lost for one little mistake?". Sickening. The IOC or someone like have already said they'll have him back.
