Well she is back on her wheels so that I can now get her in to my new work shop when I move in 4 to 5 weeks hopefully as an when we get a date she will Sit lower when every thing is back inside one day
:chuck:you took that old gal by the scruff of the neck and kicked its ass, just like Chuk would do.. :chuck: Seriously, its hard to believe that its the same van...not just anyone can start with a total rustbucket thats falling apart and to do what you did resurecting a rusty relic to the condition it sits now, especially with good door gaps and sitting as pretty as it does. It seriously is a major undertaking of which few people have any concept. Top marks for the degree of skill and effort that went into the resurection and rebirth of the old girl...Looking forward to the rest of your postings on the resto of both your vans.. hats off to yah..
Now your taken the pee, I don't have a beard ha ha.....lol ........ But thanks for the good words but iv seen what you do,and I think you beat me easily!!!but it looks good back on her wheels it's been a while ☺☺☺☺.
looking goooooood ......so it will be in filler and paint next month ?? .....or have you been distracted with your new van
I really wish it was ha ha. But I I'm in the middle of moving so everything is on hold . But as soon as she is in her nice new home I can make start. I'M WATCHING your headliner around your pop top as I will be doing the same
so have you got a nice big double garage in the new place ....working in the dry ...mmmm nice one word on the headliner - NIGHTMARE !!! It was deceptivly difficult for Mrs Diddymen to make ....and it is proving harder to fit than normal headliners lol!! .....I should have just cut strips and glued them all on instead of getting them mitre sewn ....but where would be the fun in that ....and as for the spring mechanisms ....I started fitting them at the weekend so I could raise the roof to finish the headliner ....I just cant seem to get the upper bar fitted though . I've got some small ratchet straps ordered, so hopefully I can compress the springs/mech to get the upper fixed bar back on !!!
She is now in here new home with poppy looking over her so I will now be catching up with filling and primmer so will get some pics to load soon
good to see more progress pics of this van, Im no further forward .. got most of the filler work done but had to do some stuff for other folk but clearing my feet.. : ) looking forward to seeing your van progress at speed now its in its new home ..
