yes i dont like "grey metallic diesel" like we say here in Estonia it is when your car is boring and ordinary and everybody have same model most popular grey metallic diesel cars we have here skoda octavia and toyota avensis
now doors and hatches got their first coat clear too so the first round is done and body is already in other room for curing
hi folks its now long time after last post but there is no big news like "bus is done" or like that i got bus out from paint shop and after some struggle with clear coat and holes in it - we won there is now 6x2 = 12 layers clear on it cleaned some windows and new seals on front end with bumper, grill and white signals rear with attached engine lid and bumper
and please if you know where i can find only rear bumper from stainless steel for late bay let me know i have plan like this and i dont need front bumper
Welcome back. Have missed your posts. Those chrome bumpers is nice. Are you going to paint the caravan in matching paint? Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Hi glad to be back too. bumpers are not chrome but polished stainless steel and im looking one more rear bumper like this yes teardrop trailer will be "matching" paint like bus but i think maybe not so aggressive or who knows how it will come out like bus was empty canvas without any real design and i gave full freedom to painter so it will be with trailer too right now the painter guy is in Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show. https://www.facebook.com/oneeyedmorse and look where is Estonia where we are and where is Yokohama
Just came across your thread for the first time and read them all from start to finish. Wow what a story and bus. Got to hand it to you its brilliant and congratulations on a first class restoration. Now its time to enjoy the 'ride'. Think I have found your next challenge!...only joking.
Nice work... missed this thread somehow!. Wouldn't miss it on the road though Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
like van - bit by bit i have to deal with my trailer so bit by bit making some details new galley hatch need to be done because old/first one spring back straight little too much now i needed to make ribs and attach them to hinge and cover again with alumiinium composite panel but this panel is too stiff and it wont bend easily it spring back from curve to flat so i had to weaken it little - skimmed some aluminium off one side. hope that will work. ribs hinge with rib attachments skeleton done composite panel with skimmed stripes clue and clamps and in the end one bit van too rear lights and rear hatch handle all new
my plan is to make interior panels all plywood so i have to cut them out but to do it nice it would be good to have some drawings does anybody have drawings for 1976 year LHD bus panels (front doors, slide door, rear wall, rear hatch, roof, front end (nose inside), floor )
rims are now painted, only white base. will wait new year when green magic appear for interior there is idea to use rattan or cane webbing how, how much, where and … will see first idea is make panels for walls and cealing
