You lot must of been a bundle of laughs when you were kids, we made a raft out of old oil drums and scaffold boards strapped together with some straps we nicked from the Young's brewery, then we set off down the wandle and ended up in the Thames by Wandsworth bridge, buy the *****ing lidl boat, blow it up and have fun
Too right , spent most of my school summers sat on a similarly built raft on an old quarry - spinning for pike - loved it , the place has now been converted for leisure use now, full of old duffers in caravans , motor homes and those quaint old campervans - how ironic
I'm looking for somewhere next weekend to go and try the kayak out. I could just wait for the rain to fill up the road at the bottom of my hill but would like somewhere more scenic than a Birmingham suburb. Ideas anyone? Louey
I did ask for scenic suggestions Got to be a member of the Sailing Club and I can't see any mention of kayaks
