  1. Changed the plugs and re set tappets. Also filled the o/s heat exchanger with oil due to crapy repro valve cover spring, Why I put that on there I don't know. now fitted with genuine. Must be 50% thicker metal.

Nice use of unit. Had to refresh my acquaintance with the term - not used it or even heard it used since college in the ‘80s!
I’d like to say it made my hair stand on end when I read it... but that would have been a lie, and a bad joke.

I've done bugger all on the bus for weeks really. Business has been totally time consuming. Shipped out my last order for the year today - 4 weeks off now! Hopefully will make some progress.

Took it for a drive to Petworth House . Stopped off at the Cowdray Farm Shop where two full English breakfasts with coffee was £27...
Bought nice food in the shop bit.
Had a walk in the deer park at Petworth.
Came home got past security in the marina driving a T2 ... emptied the descaler out of the boat engine.. now the drain cock in the cooling jacket actually works instead of being the entrance to chalk tunnels.
Had a panic over the Yanmar 1GM boat engine.. a breather tube fell out which meant any oil that lubricated the rocker arms dripped down into the air intake then down the side of the engine ..so it filled the bilge slowly with oil... thought it was a leaky banjo bolt..

  15. Did you flog anyone at the capstan?

Sorry only have two Lewmar 16ST and four Lewmar 8 winches. They are a bit small for flogging ... but quite painful if you fall over one.

  18. Xmas tree and Big Things From Screwfix picked up. He romped along - romped! So nice to drive these days.

Took him for an extra run to Salisburyford and back as a special treat. Now back in his stable with a blanket thrown over him.

    Blooooomin' maaarvellous!
Now hoping for a dry day to get back on the road to see what the box feels and sounds like ... Have one "Nobody" special sitting waiting if it's not good.
    Next job is gasket kit.
What's the 101 for newbies on removing the engine? (1600tp)
