  9. i hope not, but not heard from him for a while. maybe he's busy or he was not happy that i couldn't collect before. but i did speak to him and he knew i genuinely wasn't well. just had a bit of worry wobbles today :(

  10. Oh dear , I’m sure he’s being polite n not pestering you if he knows your not well . Or he’s having a long hol. Does he know if he’s gota do anything else ?

  11. hope so, meant to call him today but work has been crazy.
I had originally wanted him to do the n/s wheel arch but when he was talking about glueing i decided against it and didn't get the panel.
think i'll text tomorrow but i know a lot of folk don't answer at weekends, understandably. I'm sure it'll be fine and i'm just worrying because i'm missing seeing the camper :(

Automotive panel fitting glue in trained professional hands is better than welding. My bus had seams glued across panels 8 years ago, still no rust, where the bottom 6 inches of panels were replaced by a guy who was trained on BMWs.

Modern cars have a lot of glued panels like the windscreen...

Welds can leave little rusty holes that spread out even with seam sealer...

    Welds for strength though.

  19. Oh bum, do you think wheel arch would be safe to glue?

I know he works with modern and old cars and is pretty good.

Texted him this morning and camper all safe and snug. Phew. He said that because I sounded so poorly he’d leave me alone and that the bus isn’t in his way so it’s all good. :)

Seeing as a wheel arch you can see the road through does not make the bus fail the MOT, its not amazingly structural, a metal panel glued in properly could be a good option. Would take more preparation time but the glue is done in seconds...
