Hi I have to use a Resmed autoset spirit S8 CPAP device and am having to camp non hook up. I've got a very young fully charged 70ah leisure battery and I've just bought a Ring 300w inverter Can anyone tell me how long it'll last Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I presume this is a piece of medical equipment that the OP uses and he is asking how long it will work off a 70ah leisure battery through an inverter . I imagine it depends on the amount of amps the equipment uses.
I know nothing of what it does, or how long it will last without power data. However, a google shows it can run off a 12v lead, suggesting it might be more battery friendly to do away with the step up invertor before it steps it down again to 12v anyway....
You can buy a led from Resmed and I will but that won't be in theme for this weekend. Normally I hook up. I can't find any info on current draw Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would a solar powered charger not help maintain battery life? Edit: now I know what it is and that it would likely be used at night probably not! At least it would top up in the day?
i would imagine in the world of electrics V x I = watts therefore at full capacity your invertor would draw 1+amp now as yolts /amp s are relative 1 amp at 240volts would be 20amps at 12volts assuming your battery doesn,t fail till its completely exhausted that would be 3 1/2 hours
Draw is 110v-240v , 50-60Hz < 120VA. For the Resmed I don't understand how to translate that into watts or amps.
thats at maximum power according to nicktuft your resmed takes 120va that would be 1/2 amp or about 7 hours
Depending on how important this machine is, I'd probably be doing a bit of research with the supplier / manufacturer rather then a load of blokes on a VW forum. Just saying.
Mines the s8 autoset spirit but I'm don't quite understand what this chart means in real terms I.e. Will I live till morning for 2 nights 6-8 hrs per night with a 70ah battery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good advice but too late. Anyway I trust you lot. It's only a matter of getting through the night and seeing the morning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
