When you take your trip tom the Philipines, would you consider staying for 2 months .... it will give me time to catch up ..lol Never mind about dash glare, we never get enough sunshine to worry about that Finnish your van before you go it alone.. otherwise youll never find the time to complete the project ... youll be far to busy with other folks stuff...
Hi mate can't afford 2 months or I stay longer and it's Thailand not Philippines never been there wouldn't mind though and ye I'd finish it first before starting others but I think your be done first iv got to stop for a bit anyway with my little girl again
Congratulations for the immense work of restoration carried out !!! It does not, however, be good to start with a healthier bus without much rust? Unless it is not a major bus at the affective level ... Giorgio greeting
Ok well were do I start had a bad time recently with health got diabetes bad so had to change my life style little girls been bad and had to move to a smaller bungalow as fell out with family so no help with little one any more but anyways back to normal now and going to hit the van hard now as long as money allows .so got an old tow bar that's rotten took the mounts of and made my own. Will get some more pics of the van been busy with it the last few weekends and got some of it back together
Right been busy to night stripping the master cylinder ready for cleaning and painting it's perfect in side don't think it's been used much Clean the stripped down brake calipers and sprayed them so will rebuild them when paint hard but no pics yet forgot
lol, yea, pull your finger out @womball theres still plenty more things you can find to do to stop you finishing have you polished up your M plate yet? .....what about the door striker plates and catches? you've probably got a few weeks of work researching where you can get a set of original decals made, as they are not all avalable .....I'm still working on that one, including original Devon conversion stickers how about looking at how you can fit removable head rests to the rear seats, fitting air-con, air suspension .....that distracted me for a few weeks before I abandond the idea
A All I can say is you hit the nail on the head and no I haven't polished my m plate yet but it's on the list now it's most of the little bits to clean and paint or detail is wot takes the time but as long as the bus is good for a long trip through Europe some time that's wot I'm after o and look good . let me know if you find the stickers for these vans
Well started to rebuild the calipers started with these all cleaned and sprayed with silver them 2k cleared to protect silver then put seals and pistons back then run out of time so finish tomorrow
E E bay there are two different kits so check dimensions in add there top quality stainless steel pistons or buy just the seals if you pistons are ok.
Well as promised just waiting for the nipples and there ready to go on got the oil bath rubbed down and filled then primed with some etch primer Put a bit of top coat on the rear brake backing plates tonight
