yes , I have had a mess.... I see both my vw's relativly free ,if I see a monatary value ,then i'd be stressed ,done that ,been there...
I need this spring off the brake pedal... or should I say I need the opposite ... @davidoft just in case you can get them new or have some way to turn it around... Dash done ,steering done ,brake nearly done...
Right hand drive ? http://www.justkampers.com/214-721-163-brake-pedal-return-spring-vw-t2-bay-1967-1979.html
this might be worth a punt http://www.justkampers.com/211-721-163-a-brake-pedal-return-spring-vw-t2-split-1955-1967-lhd.html if I was desperate...
Not really , but it is better ,yours realy on the m/c pushing the brake back up ,which in time will weaken it...
Maybe http://www.justkampers.com/211-721-163-a-brake-pedal-return-spring-vw-t2-split-1955-1967-lhd.html
The rear brake was harder than I thought cutting it out of the chassis ,plus the steering thing on the beam ,I had to cut and kinda turn upsidedown...(twice ) I only had a couple of days , been digging up a foss septic between showers...
I've put the pedals in the wrong places... so my accelerator is far left wait am I wrong? looks like I am...
Will the doors fly off when you selct reverse? What about the steering? will it turn the wheels the right way?
The brake and clutch are also in the wrong place... I did think I could copy the rhd onto the left....Would'nt mind I drive a lhd every day and did'nt know where the accelerator was ,i had to go look..... The steering has improved ,ie turning circle...
It would be tricky to swap (driving) from one to the other if they weren't the same... Can you ride a pushbike sitting the wrong way round on the handlebars? I can.
