Zig hookup charging problem

We rocked up on site last night, setup and plugged in the hookup. Switched the zig over to 'on site' so it would supply/charge the battery.

But instead of charging it appeared to do the opposite and the volts dropped.

    Any ideas?

We've had it in for about 2 years now. I think the charger part part is gazebo'd.

  6. could be right,

sounds like it could be a diode in the circuit is duff, possibly part of the rectifying circuit.

Doesnt seem to be any other reason that the volts go down when switched to charging, the diodes should stop your battery discharging its self back through the circuit.

with out taking it apart and testing it though Im just guessing.

Is it easy enough to remove it from the bus?

  8. If you can remove it and drop it round to me I'll have a look at it for you if you like.

Cant promise anything but I'll give it a go.

If I cant figure it out at home I've got an oscilloscope and some other gear at work that might help me trace the problem.
