I seem to remember Hugh FW doing one of these on an early River Cottage programme. Looked like a bit of a faff to do yourself, especially as he shot the birds himself (well, maybe not the turkey). We had one last year well two my mum wanted to do one as a practice Before buying one for the big day I ate it but a few of the family moaned about but I will eat most things put in front of me
