your ideal show /meet

what would your ideal show or meet consist of .
For me sitting around the camp fire with friends and new ly met people,and other points of interest,like a nearby attraction or activity.
Small music festivals ,somewhere of interest to walk or cycle .I'm not a big drinker and never have been so driving a 100 miles to sit in a field and get bladderd doesn't hold much appeal.There has to be something else

 

Sounds ideal, like all the meets I've been to actually

 

All of this, but with getting bladdered left in the fold.

 

I would rather be in a series of Pubs than sat around a fire - Eskdale is spot on for me

 

the price is right/filet steak.

 

A walk, a visit somewhere, a nice pub possibly, but sitting round a fire is the best.

 

forgot to mention the pub crawl ,I would be ok with that if I drunk halves a played with my glass

 

I do like a communal breakfast though - some of my best times have been the morning after as a lot of sitting around and eating of fried food occurs

 

A small show with enthusiats with a beer tent (not essensial ) bit of music and most of all fun people who like a laugh . Bigger shows for me now have got to commercial and full of tents n hangers on . Small local get togethers would be good too. We like tlb ones best .

I like it when people have the odd bit outside their van to sell . Makes the walk to the lav interesting

 

So, a field, a nearby pub, a fire pit, alcohol or pop of your choice, preferably passed around, communal breakfast next day, a pootle, meander or walk, everybody brings boxes of junk (sorry autojumble) and throw in a few guitars, banjo's or ukes and a few dodgy singers and its a good weekend!

tbh that sounds perfect, what we aim for most camps, minus that boxs of interesting carp

 

I have to say that the big shows appear to be heading more and more to the same format with sadly the same companies turning up, I even get a little tired of the same show and shiners turning up with their towed on vehicles...The club I am in all seem to go on the same shows, park in the same spots, have their own pitch, and do the same thing as thats what we always do.... it makes entering that group a little tricky!

Defo up for the smaller set-up with a group of people who have something that ties them together but are still individuals.... beer, fire, acoustic music, sunshine, nice dry grass to rub your feet on always helps as well!

 

Not the mental picture I needed before heading off for a sleep.

 

A field with just people I know ,attractions like female mud wrestling ,VW auto jumble where prices are realistic ,no dogs wandering round ,great views ...

And everyone in bed before 10pm and no sliding door noises in the night...

 

....erm ideally I'd like some sewing and chocolate. But as I'm currently in a campsite with my feet up this is pretty ideal too.

 

And some face paint and some disco cups obviously ☺
