Your favourite UK holiday spot and why?

  1. Cotswolds?
Central, easy to get to, quiet, plenty to see and do.
    We stay there a lot.
    ;)

  2. Friends of ours have a holiday cottage in East Williamson near Tenby, S Wales. Lovely part of the world if you like beaches, castles, kids' activities and half-decent food - spent a week there each of the last two summers. Was there for the Olympics' Super Saturday, so the front room will be lodged in my memory for ever (as will the steep hill in Tenby where my van died while running on two cylinders last year). Shame that it's a six-hour van drive from Essex.

As mentioned elsewhere we're off to the IOW in August. I've done one school trip, one holiday with my parents and eight festivals there. But not yet done a holiday as an adult. Looking forward to it way mucho. My wife has been warned that at some point I WILL get everyone standing in an empty field near Newport and bore them incessantly about where the stages and bars were and look! Here's EXACTLY where I parked the van in 2011! You can still see the oil patch!

  7. Hmm, Cotswolds is on the top of the cards at the moment, now when was that wedding  ;)

We were thinking about the end of the month, and then remembered you mentioning in your wedding thread about the camper and bus show hmmm
