A small pewter hip flask my wife bought for me. I looked like it had been on the shelf for a while as it was a little tarnished, but has polished up beautifully. Filled with Caol Isla now. Mmmmm.
I love this calendar! Got the same style one last year and my other half did everything he could to get another one this year as he knows how much I love it
We got one each for the kids this year and one for my dad so they could all play together. Sadly, Dad passed away a couple of weeks ago but my wife had got me my own Uke so me and the kids can carry on with the original plan. In a fashion anyhow. Great little instrument. Seems relatively easy to get going on and has nice bright cheerful sound.
The best Christmas present at my Mum's house this year theoretically belonged to my nephew. It is a RC helicopter and in addition to its incredible robustness it was simply amazing fun - the kids could barely get at it for all the adults having a go!
That's even got some nice photos, unlike most vw bus calendars. Maybe i'm being too critical, but a calendar photo has to be a bit imaginative, not a forensic documentation of random buses taken on the lawn at a show.
