    went to see my mechanic this evening to ask his opinion on the spray job :(
    as usual, great advice and a keen eye. then, horror of HORRORS... he told me that he's moving to cornwall!!! *throws self on floor and sobs uncontrollably* :'( :'(


    you lucky lot. He's great and i wouldn't trust my dubs to anyone else, but limping them down to cornwall is a little too far.


    maybe i should move too!? or is that a bit stalkery? :p

    Have you tried Absolute VW in Castle Donnington or The Bughaus in Notts?

    Theres also a guy in Mansfield called Dubshak..worth a try, search him on facebook

    If you have a look on SSVC, the guys name is massivesplitproject...he has a few threads going in the Rides and Projects section, go past the first page and on, his work looks good (I dont know him personally though).

    Bughaus sounds a bit of a put off!

    Do you know Langley Mill at all, near Ikea, there is also deaddubs

    No worries!! The dead dubs guys name is Richard, hes only a young guy so that may well be him. They seem decent blokes down there, helpful when I popped in for a chat!

    none we tend to do it ourselves (for the simple bits like servicing and bodywork) & touch wood we have yet to have any catastrophies..for things like brake pipes etc, we know a guy in Holloway who will do VW's if you catch him on a good day

    Nope, never heard of it!! I work in Darley Dale as a Mechanical Engineer between me, my Dad & my work colleagues, we tend to do bus work in our slack time at the Lab
