I was just talking to a parent at the football and he was a Muslim from Lahore. He said his family are just bewildered and confused by all this violence. I believe most Muslims feel like that chap in the video.
My first real knowledge of Muslims came about when Cassius Clay became Mohammed Ali - and then refused to be enlisted to fight in Vietnam as Islam was a religion of peace - so I saw them equating to the Christian Quakers.
Got a call from a long standing friend about all this violence in the name of Islam. In the 30yrs I have known him and we are close, I have never heard him speak with such sadness and despair. It shook me up at how sad he feels that his religion is being made to look so bad.
