WTD: Y Heater Tube

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by gninnam, Jul 4, 2019.

  1. After the Y heater tube that goes over the rear axle (mine was shot and gotten rid of years ago).
If you don't have one does anyone have the dimensions so I could knock one up??

    Cheers.

  2. I think schofields make a repro now

They do indeed, and I put together a handy dandy guide to fitting the bugger with the floor in.

  4. Cheers - yes they do at £108. Ouch.

  5. Thanks for that - looks like a lot of work - easier if you have the van on it's side (bugger).
Will order one and then follow your lead :)

Even easier if you have the floor out. That price has gone up on the piece, think I "only" paid £99.

  7. I'm at the end stage so the floor already in (and a new one) :(

A few years back I bought a fiberglass one that came in 2 halves . Good quality but impossible to fit with body on . I did similar to the video but used silicone hose to join up to the cut down fiberglass y piece using jubilee clips .
Looks ok but 4 or so years down the road I still havnt completed the job of fitting all other elements of the heating

  11. Same. I have a Schofields one I bought ages ago but will be such a hassle to fit that I have bought a silicone hose y-piece that I am hoping to use in its place (when I get round to it).
