Especially at this time of year

I feel sorry for the people that convince themselves they can live entirely off the land hunter gatherer style in the uk

And i will have the most utter respect and admiration for the first person i meet thats actually managing it

These vids have given me some food for thought so much so im contemplating buying a second hand video camera and making a few short videos

the one i have is nothing snazzy - its a Kodak ZX5 £80 ... shock and water proof - but nothing special at all.

and most of all - have a go yourselves!
Earlier in the year when MrsZ left I was pretty fed up and I sat in the car at work all day talking rubbish with my Welsh/Italian mate. The days were interspersed with cunning reasons why it would be wrong to get out and start work just yet. Eventually around 3 o'clock we would decide it was too late to start work and go home. This went on every day for 2 or 3 months. How I wish I'd had a camera on the back shelf. There was a whole series of in depth ridiculous philosophy there gone forever

Id be looking for somthing easy to use and not too delicate and not requiring buying expensive batterys for a max of £50

Ive never had a video camera before so its all new to me

As well as doing a few outdorr living skills vids i was thinking as im restoring my bus nut and bolt style it would make it easy to make a few how too adjust this how to replace that type vids to help other diy dubbers

yeah check out the shock proofs Kodaks - loads on eBay - 'really' simple to use and the battery is USB rechargeable ...

filming is easy - its the editing that takes the time

Reminds me of a lad i knew getting arrested 5 mins after hed double dropped ebeneezer

He said he can remember talking about evoulition vs creationism in the police interview and them having to stop him talking while they changed the tape a few times lol

It's a beautiful irony though! and for me the heart of what makes the show so good. I'd be happy if you carry on nearly finding things in future episodes.

this one took about 4 hours - stayed up on Friday evening making it and then did a final 30 minutes on Sun afternoon.

the hardest thing is usually the are all filmed in reverse order ...
