what make is it - we have a VDO kit from JK, the instruction guide is very clear and concise! (Dont ask me how we wired it, the diagram is 12 miles away)!

  4. ta people, it"s a "SIREN????, really looks like it"s as old as the van! it is , as said , working, just i need good tlb folk to comment as my bus went on fire cos previous owner messed wiv elecs and on purchase i did not do even a cursory elec check ! (i know !!!) you may understand my fear ??!!

if you are worried mate, pop a fuse inline (+ve side I think)

  6. normally

    earth
    coil negative terminal
    switched live
and + and - for the light

    wired mine this afternoon

  7. coolio advice people , any switched live would suffice ? i wired live to coil cos wire was in engine bay , assuming? it isn"t nec. to take feed off coil, i could perhaps jump off the rear of headlamp switch ?, thinking of cable run length

  8. isn't the tacho up front ?

  9. It measures engine rotation speed so the wires terminate in the engine bay.
