This storm was the strongest, for 10 years with wind speeds up to 99 mph.
    Interesting…

Nearly ripped the door off the Zafira last night about half nine. The Nile was running down the local high streets around here in mostly sunny Bristol. Extra breezy today while out walking this handsome dog that I’m minding for a bit. He got a bit nervy when some tin cans came whistling and rattling past whilst out for a stroll. image.jpg

You wear a flat cap like that in Yorkshire and they will not serve you in the shops or pubs.

A lot of ex public schoolboys will starve in the home counties, and where might they fill up the Rangey!?!

    Still windy here.
Storm Jocelyn this time. More fence panels down. Is it worth me just taking the whole lot down and replacing with 4” post and rails and boards? The original is 3” posts and shiplap 6’ panels. ( mothers fence, not mine).

  14. Jocelyn is the 10th named storm so far this year. And we’re on 24 days in. At this rate we will be on storm Zebra by April/May

Actually the storm season starts in early September so we're more than four months in now.

  16. Oh ok. I stand corrected. I wish tv and radio presenters would give the full story.

Calm enough here to cycle to work. Should be easier with a tailwind on the way home.

I think the GIF was from an Australian race a few years ago. Glad to say Birmingham was much calmer this morning.
