Window seals - which are best??

  1. Right, Vera, our beloved Devon Moonraker is finally getting the wrongs of the many past owners put right (replacement rear arch over the top of the original which had been repaired with patch twice before and had 10mm of filler on top of it......WTF!!??). The replacement arch stood off the outer skin of the original by about 15mm, yoiks!!

We replaced nearly all the window and door seals when I did some bodywork to her a few years ago, using original (VW Brazil) seals which in the most part are good, however ....... the engine lid, rear hatch, sliding door and windscreen seals could be better and we didn't replace the front door seals and I know there are some cr@p versions doing the rounds!

    So, experiences, recommendations??

I'm considering shipping some West Coast Metric seals across the pond, or there are the VEWIB seals doing the rounds ......

  2. The ones I had were grey, don't recall the brand (will check tomorrow as I think i still have a box of new ones somewhere. The came from VWH
    :)

  3. From what I've gathered, the Vewib brand are good - German OEM, using the original moulds.
