  1. hi all just put all the parts back into the doors and the scraper on the pass door is not touching the window ( 4 to 5 mm gap)

is there any thing i can do without damaging the paint work to correct this .

    thanks Craig

  2. It looks like you're missing the inner scraper, might be wrong but it looks like you have nothing between the window and inner side of the door.

  3. thanks for the reply foxy :)
the inner scraper is missing cos i could not get the wire to fit into the small slots on the inner door so i left them out :-[

The teeth on the wire point one way? Towards the rear of the door. Start at the rear and feed it in a clip at a time - easy peasy, but wait until you try and tuck the front behind the 1/4light upright.

  8. i am having a nightmare with this right this second as i speak. i have got the hump so much i am shaking with rage and my fingers are killing me.

Didn't find mine easy peasy. Far from it. Had new doors and new kits from VWH and they were a female dog to put together. I did cheat and close the loops a touch, but this will probably be frowned upon. Even then it was still not easy peasy.

  11. i got the drivers side in and the outer scraper is leaning slightly off the glass by about 1.5mm all the way along. Great. How do i rectify this! It is just rubber and it should obviously be touching the glass but its not. Any ideas guys?

  13. i was really careful with the drivers side its the passenger door i bent but thats the one which is better fitting!lol and i think perhaps where they are stored inside a flat box for so long obviously piled up, they dont get a chance to retain their shape and therefore flatten in storage. Thats my theory.
