Pretty simple really... How many latebayers are in bands?? I play bass in a band called Chasms Above and my first gig with them is on 17th which should be fun. http://www.chasmsabove.com/ Al, our lead singer also has a 76 Devon type camper, which is white over blue, albeit the to vans (Landyn and Kyle) are yet to meet!!
I used to be from 1992 to about 2002 fri/sat/sun clubs all over the midlands and beyond in a covers band, it took over my life and became a job not a hobby, i decided to jack it on new years eve 2002 and go back to just jamming etc, did a few pubs for beer but in 2006 i gave up totally, the bass has sat in it's case for 6 years now...shame really it cost me £900......Fender Presision 1994 anniversary edition made in usa, none of that jap/mexican muck.....sold my trace elliot stack but bought a brand new ashdown combi "just in case" now 6 years old and never been out of my house or turned on since, got a nice semi acoustic 6 string guitar which sometimes comes out but very rare, i'm disgusted with myself really but i can't make the effort to join/form a band even for fun.
I play guitar in a band called Black Waits (find us on Facebook) we're still writing material and have not gigged with this line up yet. The other three jaw a few years ago before I joined. We've been writing for 8 months now and are just about ready to gig. I was also in a cover band for around seven years called soundproof that gigged all over Lincolnshire and beyond. But it all ended on 16th December when our drummer had a hissy fit over money (which to the other members was just a bonus from a hobbie) then went and told each member their downfalls and that we were not pulling our weight, so I quite. The fun had gone. They played two more gigs with another guy, then it folded. Black Waits has no interest in money only rocking!
I used to be the drummer in a band called Spudlings loooooooooooooooooooool On Rockband, hahahahaha Pritty good too, My cousin in RAF was in a Band called DeadSentinals, he was drummer too, pritty cool band too, but being called over sea's made it hard and they split which is sad
At the mo in a few bands playing either bass guitar or guitar ..blues band called Highly Strung, an originals band called Underground Episode ( first 100 copies of our debut now printed) another originals band called Alex and the lady scene and another covers band called radio rental Id be in more but there isnt enough time haha
