My daughter was born in Whitechapel, The Royal London Hospital, Marie Celeste Ward (the hospital was creepy enough without them naming a ward after a ship which was found in perfect nick but with all the crew members missing) - afterwards I popped over the road to the Grave Maurice pub (former Krays hangout) for a pint or two.
