  1. I am just about to get vehicle recovery for the bus, but wondered if anyone recommends a specific company?
If so please advise on cover & cost

    Thanks

I am with the AA as it covers me and the wife in any car even if we are only the passages
    Paid about£100 for full recovery
As we have 3cars it works out cheaper I have called them out and can't fault the service

  3. AA too. Used them a lot in the past and always had good service. Used cheaper ones (green flag etc) and always been screwed over when something went wrong. Sorry, running out of fuel isn't covered so will be £50 to come out...!! Spare is flat? That will be £80 call out fee etc...

Every year I change between myself and the girlfriend for new customer rates. This year cover was £100 with the aa and claimed £60 cash back via quidco so only £40 for both us us with recovery ;-)

  4. We've got recovery with the insurance for Daisy-Mae and are then also with Gem which covers both cars ... and the camper, but only in the UK. Hence we have the breakdown with the insurance company as well as that gives European cover :)

AA are tight arse Marmites that told us Ruby was to old for European cover.

I have no idea who we use as that's Mrs TW's department

  7. Wish I could dodge paying my full tax amount!!!

  8. with AA with relay cover so will at least get to destination or home, BUT have been told recently do not expect European cover its extra..

  9. Is there any age restriction with the AA?Not mine, the bus I mean........o_O!

  10. I think AA told us that cars over 12 Years old are not covered in europe

When we eventually go in holiday to Europe i will probs just pay extra for ADAC or something to cover me specifically.

  11. I've got cover with my bank account RAC i think, that covers Europe but with vehicles over 12 years you pay about £100 if you actually use the relay, so figured it was worth the risk, and fortunately didn't break down so didn't need it.

  13. Ahh maybe thats what I am thinking of I have RAC with my bank
