where did you end up this weekend?

We walked our socks off. Tried to get in at a site that was suggested to me on here but we didn't get a call back after leaving a message. So we camped at pomRoy on a very basic site facilities were sparse and not very clean but it was only £15 so can't really argue. After qaljubt for 5 hours and a good chilli I was out for the count. Woke up sweltering in the van the next morning.
Should have gone to parents for dinner today but weather was too nice to be stuck in so we headed to Monsel Dale and walked for 4 hours from there. Back at the van we had tea qbd cake and a sleep before going home. I do love this life. But on a disappointing note the exhaust fell off the van a long the way. That's money we'd not planned on parting with this month!

Camperjam a greatweek end, apart from......... water, toilets showers, but bloody good fun.

 

After a night in the new forest we ended up at knoll beach, studland. Was supposed to be sandbanks but when I found out there was a chain ferry I just had to go on it.

We went to Elvaston Steam Rally and had a lovely time

Not sure if that's the correct term. It's a ferry that pulls itself between 2 docks on a couple moosive chains.

As the camper is off the road having large rusty lumps cut out of it we spent the weekend down at the cabin near Mogo (NSW Australia).
Ms.T says she is getting quite used to not camping in winter & has suggested that we could only go camping in the warmer months.

We went to a 999 show on the seafront and watched newfoundland dogs save people out in the sea, firemen cut roofs off cars , ambulance people re-suss dummys AND sniffer dogs find drugs they had got the children to hide ???

 

Lydiate Classic Car & Motorbike show. Two late bays, one crossover lowlight and an amazing splitscreen which still wore its original (1964) paint, having been laid up in a garage for over 30 years. Incredible the number of people who ask about our buses isn't it?

 

I spent an enjoyable 2 x 12 hours at work, sweating my arse off working at my HDU, complete with no air conditioning, thick uniforms and long sleeved plastic gowns. Still, at least my patients were as desperate as me to watch the tennis.
