Man's greatest brains have been lost on this one for a while, but I have solved it!! They are down the local tip/civic amenities site/refuse site etc etc. Yes ladies and gentlemen - the same sort of stupid selfish behaviour you see around schools of a morning is now appearing near you at your local tip. Park badly and block everyone it - tick! Leave your car doors open so no one can get past - tick! Wait in the exit lane, again stopping anyone leaving, until the space of the 'your' skip is clear - tick! Carry too much stuff and huff and puff because others can't teleport themselves out of the way - tick! Park your car up my arse so I can't unload - tick! Stand by as some old dear can't manage to lift her lawn cuttings into the skip, but not offer to help, in [glow=red,2,300][glow=red,2,300]FACT[/glow][/glow] throw yours over her head - tick! I am just scratching the surface here aren't I? Hateful place. Bit of a rant - but a 5 minute job has taken me 40 minutes!!!!! I want to pay more council tax so we can employ a sniper at the tip please.
I feel quite lucky then, because ours isn't that bad. Except (a) they've got a height barrier so I can't take the camper. and (b) I've lost count of the number of times someone has swung their door straight into my car and scratched it WHEN I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE!!!! Apart from that, you can usually get in and out reasonably quickly. Which is a blessing.
i don't do tips - i do ebay , much more hassle far unfriendlier people and you can even get your stuff back at great cost to yourself , marvellous , the last bastion of upright selling and buying technique's - ohh what a joyful place it is . i usually take stuff home from the tip
cant used the camper at our tip you need a permit apparently. what do expect when its run by a french company....
we have to pay £2 just to get into our local one then if you have hardcore or such like you have to pay more and for Christ sake dont put any thing in the wrong skip after all not all wood is to go in the wood skip.
