My bus has been great this year ,no probs ,its taken us where we want to go and when we want to . This year has probably been our best bus wise and i want to carry it on . Ive got a few jobs i need to do but i need a work shop really , somewhere dry n warmish , or shall i wait till early spring and try and get it all done then errrrr decisions i just dont feel like i want to stop this year . Anyone else feel like this ? Hows yours gone this year ?
I had some great day trips, some amazing weekends and one brilliant holiday. I am now looking forward to using the bus for the purpose that I bought it. That is to use it to take Tom to play football whilst keeping Olivia warm and dry. Bring on the winter! (And the bacon sarnies )
Mine has been running great too barn. Until I left it for 4 weeks started it and the first hil I hit and the alternatortor light comes on. And who says these busses don't hold a grudge or have a personality. I think mine is annoyed with me for leaving it it sitting in a nice warm and dry garage. And the cheeky git lives in the garage rent free. The bare faced cheek of these VW buses
I cover mine and get him out on non rainy days in winter. Will be nicer this winter as we have fixed the heating so wont have to wrap up in 30 layers.
mines been great when i used it, need to used it more.... Sounds sweet too, considering im deaf well hard of hearing, mastered a bit of tuning, if it starts playing up, check your points, 1 st port of call, and then think when did you last put petrol ion it, it goes stale and gungy in your carb. keep em running take em off the road for months as the time means trouble.
mine blew up on it first good run of the year and its not been back on the road since Gutted really but theres always next year
Drove mine across to the Island the other day just for a run out...now awaiting another decent non windy non wet day. I live in hope.
Here's a common scenario: "I'll do a few jobs over the winter" But not this weekend, it's cold and dark, Not this weekend, it's cold and dark and wet Not this weekend it's... Maybe in the spring... Bugger it's March and it's still cold and wet. " oh well, I'll get a garage to do it" Result, everyone phones in mid-march hoping to get their buses fixed by Easter. If this is you, please don't leave it until March because everyone's gonna be busy.
Mine's being done now - brought the MOT forward a month as well, because third week in December is always a faff. We'll be camping in December, probably January too
My MOT is in July. Stupid, stupid, stupid as I'm always really busy then and rather spend free time camping. Just as well it passes first time.
I've used up all my holidays as I do every year taking time off when it's nice or should I say nicer & after the October half term its birthday after birthday & always something on at the weekends right through to Xmas, January I'm always skint then February/March I start buying bits to get the Robowagen ready for April... Already looking forward to Aprils Techenders Who's coming
mine is july too, which is why i want these jobs done ,im not normally a last minute person , but i need to enjoy life while i can n well even when its cold n wet n nn n n i still wana use it and abuse it as they say . Your gona be even bizzier this year and next zed , they all know now
I didn't advertise before and all my customers who expressed a preference said my web-site was terrible, but publicly shutting down for a year a couple of years ago wasn't good for business. lol
