judging by other rare classics, RHD or LHD never made much, if any difference in value, as long as they are in the original position.
True - but LHD are not exactly rare as you mention earlier - certainly more numerous than RHD.

If the classic car trent is transposed - largely unmolested original with a history, and that can be used, is most desirable. As long as its not some form of ultra rare model, updates to make it more useable are also desirable.

Buses already have the issue many cars have - its WAY more expensive to fix one up than to buy a good one in the first place - and unlike many classics - Buses were a world wide vehicle, so pretty numerous!

True, but so many of the claimed good ones are hiding awful bodge jobs and filler and start bubbling up after just a few months ownership. I decided to fix one up. That's the only way of guaranteeing it'll be done right and last for years to come.

True, but so many of the claimed good ones are hiding awful bodge jobs and filler and start bubbling up after just a few months ownership. I decided to fix one up. That's the only way of guaranteeing it'll be done right and last for years to come.

Better the devil you know!

Knacked body is a gimme - I think I'd swap a bus with as much original trim, in working order over a shiny one with bits missing anyday.

There's feckin millions of all of them, and all the spares. Everywhere else in the world they giv'em away as they're considered scrap value only. Why worry?
