When a tut isn't enough....

I've found myself adding a little shake of the head as well of late. Or a shake of the head and a sigh for variety.

 

It`s a teenage phase , you`ll grow out of it ...

 

A variation is the little headshake and mutter of "Jesus!". I don't think it has any religious significance.

Usually triggered by clueless Millennials.

If any of you ever came into our cab office I think there would be a lot of tutting going on, we have Asians, Eastern Europeans, fat drivers, bald cockney drivers, a gay controller, a West Indian cleaner, anything goes nobody is singled out and everyone joins in, so is it wrong

 

tut pffft tut

 

I save that for when I’m driving.

 

we have the french "shug" even I'm adopting it ,specially if i break something...

 

You don't go for the full exasperated huff?

 

Another useful phrase is "Saw it on Facebook" in a sarcastic, whiney voice, while waggling the head. Bit extreme, but sometimes necessary.
