I've found myself adding a little shake of the head as well of late. Or a shake of the head and a sigh for variety.
A variation is the little headshake and mutter of "Jesus!". I don't think it has any religious significance. Usually triggered by clueless Millennials.
If any of you ever came into our cab office I think there would be a lot of tutting going on, we have Asians, Eastern Europeans, fat drivers, bald cockney drivers, a gay controller, a West Indian cleaner, anything goes nobody is singled out and everyone joins in, so is it wrong
I like the eyes cast downward, barely imperceptible shake of the head and breathe out through the nose approach @lost-en-france i am also fond of the Gallic shrug, especially on mainland Europe
Another useful phrase is "Saw it on Facebook" in a sarcastic, whiney voice, while waggling the head. Bit extreme, but sometimes necessary.
Slamming the garage door heading towards the garden whilst uttering the phrase "well thats a monumental pain in the arse!!!"
You never mentioned him I was thinking when you wasn't the driver you turned controller/wig wearing cleaner
