Now, those of you that know us will appreciate we live in small spaces. There's boxes all around with stuff secreted away we haven't seen for years, but this shelf is in the workshop and is sort of a reminder, if not a go to, of the fact that books and stuff, like vinyl, used to be a thing. What's on yours?
oh, I’m in bed now but will be taking some photos in the morning I do like a bookshelf with ornaments on
I did have quite a few book shelves which just seemed to gather dust. I’ve given most of the books away……..but I’ve still got the dust.
I built these shelves for ours. One or two ornaments @Merlin Cat Edit: didn't realise the pic was blurry. New one now
I’ve got quite a variety of books and novels.. Favourites are Robert Crais’ Elvis Cole / Joe Pike series, I have them all which I enjoy. Wilbur Smith Tata novels Bernard Cornwall Uhtred novels Rough Guides to Scotland, Greece, France Martin Dorey Take the high road books Phil Lynott Cowboy Song Scott Gotham Thin Lizzy biography Guy Martin Ant Middleton
Books all over the shop but mostly in the loft! We have “ operational” shelves where recent stuff gets seconded for a while. Here’s one… somewhat eclectic!
I’ve got a few bookshelves, however many we get we seem to fill them! I managed to sneak my model car collection in to some shelves before sarah saw it too. Once in they can stay
I usually only listen to Nick Cave when everyone’s out the house - it’s too disturbing to their soles
I was MASSIVELY gutted about a week back: one of the wife’s friends mentioned that she had 2 free tickets and that he was performing ‘tonight’ in our town centre theatre. I said ‘I don’t blinking this so’. Anyway turns out it was a last minute addition to his recent tour. Was gutted. It’s the type of place tribute acts play and John Bishop etc, etc, really didn’t expect him there. One of a few charismatic live performers in my opinion. Missed opportunity
