Picked up this little unwanted gem of a turntable from the local ads, for a very good price. Once serviced, it will make one teenager very happy (whenever I get to see him next).
Project Debut SB, basically a cheaper Rega clone, not in the same league as a Rega, more like the 80's Dual decks as it's market point, but not the same money either. Perfect for starter turntable, I can service it, by pass the rubbish internal phono stage and replace the stylus. Means he can get some records with his birthday money rather than blow it all on a new deck, he'll be made up, I hope.
Blu DeTiger today. Very good. Made me smile and actually get up and boogie! https://open.spotify.com/artist/5NyCIBCeU080ynEj33S4hC?si=y41_gm6WSuiFJQCC80IbZA (Maybe an exaggeration) (maybe not) I got up and did and hour of beat saber for exercise and general fun!!
Yeah, might take a while, the french lyrics can be a bit of an acquired taste but plenty of instrumental stuff as well, I've only just started to listen to them as find it a refreshing change from the usual stuff I opt for ...
yes; could be good background, or relaxation music because you are not actually registering the lyrics
Sunday morning Grace Jones. Not her best album, but I do like a picture disc.... if only because it makes it easier to see you’ve left the Rega turntable running!
For anyone who still listens to this out dated form of musical media, I use watch and jeweller's cleaning putty on my stylus, better than a brush I often get this from a mate. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MCRU-STY...-/350917688796?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 It's no coincidence he used to sell watches in a previous life. I am certain he told me it's this stuff. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bergeon-...-/281388780753?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Here's my dirty secret , it ususally lives on the end of a cocktail stick, just touch the stylus gently onto the putty and leave the muck and dust behind.
