The majestic Turin Breaks and their "Lost Property" while I get in the mood for bit of Icelandic madness in the from of either Bjork or Sigur Ros, can't decide, but I feel the need for something a bit uplifting and more importantly, completely bonkers
I do like Turin Breaks. Saw them in concert a few years ago, most excellent. I’m having a bit of a late 60s afternoon, with (amongst others) Melanie’s ‘Candles in the Rain’ album.
Sigur Ros, so bonkers I have never yet worked which side you should play first , perhaps it doesn't matter
Oh no, was that a covid / lockdown cancellation? Will she reschedule? I reckon Melanie would be ace to see live. I've had Toots and the Maytals finally refunded after numerous dates shifting, and then Toots inconveniently dying. Yesterday I had notification that The Beat (the Dave Wakeling version) have finally cancelled too, after moving the date three times The only concert I have left booked is Dionne Warwick, and I'll be most definitely upset if that one is cancelled too - I've waited years for a chance to see her, and lets face it, she's not young!
Orange Juice, normally a bit poncy for me but this one has got some life. Great whammy guitar playing. And he got Brunel into the chorus - genius.
They used to play a lot at The Hope and Anchor Islington . They are on the Live at the Hope and Anchor album which i have . Is the singers name Peter Perret ,he was in a hell of a state when i last saw him . No Piece for the Wicked as he said .
Waiting on my doorstep when I got home from work; ordered on Thursday morning, from Greece... we can’t even get a 2nd class parcel round the UK that quickly!
