    The site is wrong, according to the guinness book of hit singles the number 1 on the day of my birth is wonderful world by louis armstrong, yet this site says gary puckett and young girl which reached number 1 on may 22nd, my mate at work checked his as well and that came up wrong, i would say this site is a week out.

    That surprised me. I always thought it was that Je t'aime song (10 March 1969). I was sure it was that. Perhaps the site's wrong.

  8. According to Wikipedia, record charts in the UK began in 1952. So there wasn't a number one record when I was born ::)
