What tyre combo? 4.5J front, 5.5J rear

  1. After the bodywork is finished on my bus I'd like to start the mechanicals.
I'm going to fit adjusters in my front beam as it's completely rust free & solid.
I'm going to drop the rear 2 splines to match.
    I've got some 4.5's & 5.5's polished fuch wheels.
I want a reasonable sized tyre to give the van some comfort so what do you guys run?
Before you sarcy lot post links to the slammed thread, I know I've seen it but I wanted specifics for my wheel combo.
    Pics would be great cheers.

  2. I would really advise against 4.5J wheels on the front of a weighty Baywindow. its all about contact patch with the road and in my opinion a 4.5J wheel doesn't allow you to fit a large enough width tyre to provide adequate grip on a bus.

I know there are lots of people that do it, I just personally would not recommend it.

  3. 2 outer splines is about a 4.5" drop at the back.
