Well, I've found a tiny timing notch on the back of the pulley. Timing was correct and re-checks OK. Started OK today, but not exactly quickly. So I reckon it may be the carb. However, maybe its just lack of use, as it's fine when it catches. I'll try to use it more and see how it goes.
