What sort of tree is this?

    Need an accurate (ish) identification.

  5. Let it grow for another hundred years and you could have a phone pole out of that . oh hang on ,we don't have phone poles anymore

    A lot smaller than when fully grown. A proper tree.AKA Weymouth Pine..



    A least it is not one of the ickle conifers in pots beloved of garden centres that is basically a variant of Leylandia(20+ m high by 10m wide)

    How about the chocolaty bit around them....does it give that at least? Reminds me, must trim my Frys Turkish Delight shrub.
