Just reading a book about Vietnam, where one of the pilots - a tall, gangly fellow that I have some empathy with - was nicknamed "Highpockets". One of our wiremen years back used to call me the same. Def brought a smile to my face. I've been called other, less complimentary names over the years. What were yours?
always been called waxoyl been painting the stuff under the camper for last 20 years. always have tubs of the stuff all over the place.
never had a nickname but being ex raf certainly met a few , chalky , dusty ( there was a guy a year behind me in training known as dusty - look him up hes now sir dusty miller lol) di the spy , thudnut and snake come to mind ( and yes snake was --- ) had one guy nicknamed alfie he thought it was after michael caine - was after alfred E newman - looked like him
Thudnut's cool . We had a kid at school nicknamed "Fartnogs". To this day, I can't remember what his real name was.
Never called him directly but if a newbe came looking for him we,do say he's just over there just ask for thudnut - he,did start twitching and blinking- he wasn't, chuffed
The best we had was in high school .these three pre convict etc. brothers that were only in my school for a few months . NickNames were Don't look . Dear lord. And , oh my god no . Cant forget that Some older kids called me .,,,,Satan boy . For a while . Dont know why ?

Sorry, got confused by the red dwarf pic. Original nicknames for a bloke with big ears.. Dr Spock - I used to make it worse by saying its Mr. Bones is the Dr. My brother still calls me "flapper" Dumbo. Strangely at 6ft4 I've never had any height related names.
They don't call me duke often, in fact sometimes months can go by..... Etc etc, can't remember the quote fully it's been a few years since I watched
