Just wondering what the bits behind the door low down are. Some sort of hook up?
That's the lpg gas tank..
Ah. Cheers. Seems a bit exposed. I would have thought those sharp bits of metal sticking out would effect mot. Ankle slicers.
Handy bit of kit tho..saves a bit of space inside the van too
I think it's a pull down cover that's not been closed?
The covers missing, the sticky out bit is to protect the valves etc from damage
Loads have them. No problem for MOT.
The plate underneatg the valves etc is to protect the plate from underneath.
To the OP, the tank is under the van and doesn't actually stick out. If you are close enough to think you are going to slice someone's ankle you have already run them over!!!
It looks dangerous to me - I think a man (or woman, or gender neutral) should walk (or wheel or hop) in front of the van waving (or making another non aggressive hand gesture) a red (or other colour that offends no one and the colour blind can see) flag (or other totem).
I'm offended that you didn't finish your post properly. Waving a red what????
And don't you dare say "rag" because red waving flags offend my pet bull.
Are they easy to come by?
Not really, though I think nlavw may repro them
What's the going rate Dave?
Dunno never seen one for sale, you got one ?
No I wish I had
There is only a cover for the regulator. I have one on mine. They are available from a chap in America.
Doh! Amended in original post...
I'm now absolutely incensed that, having read your reply, (which incidentally didn't seem to contain an apology for your neglect) I have to scroll back to find the answer.
Aren't they Ebersprecher heaters?
No, it's a gas tank.
If you're getting heat off one; run.
