I hope it works Pumping 5 litres at a time by hand wasn’t so bad but hand pumping 50 litres is a different story. Oh well if it’s crap I’ll send it back and buy a 12 volt one
I used one last week, worked really well powered by a battery drill. I needed to put it on high speed to prime it and then could regulate the flow.
Sorry but no. It was one my mate had given him. We used it to pump out some rain water from an awkward area of the narrow boat.
Another microswitch for the baja's electric windscreen washer after I snapped one of the prongs pushing the terminal back on (One of the wiper linkage arms pinged off and I needed to change the spindle seals so the whole unit came out last week). I think I might solder the connection this time to save pushing and pulling on the delicate terminals. Oh and a new gasket for the baja exhaust to replace the 3rd crappy gasket I've used on it now. The empi gaskets seem to be made from a material that just hardens and then crumbles when heated so I have higher hopes for this style of gasket:
It's funny to see the negative feedback some buyers leave about the quality of items they paid pennies for, seemingly without any concept that the item is so stupidly cheap that its almost certain to be crap.... Nothing ordered today, but it's still AM here so plenty of time.....
Does your tank have the brazed in fuel outlet or is it the earlier screw on style with the gauze pre filter?
I’m not sure what year they changed over However if yours is the earlier style you will have to drain the tank and remove the pre filter before you attempt what Mike suggests.
Ok. If it is that type, I guess it makes sense to leave the filter out when doing the pump thing, and let the inline filter do the work?
The whole idea is to fill up cheap filters with the crud so your main filter lasts longer. You can buy a box of large see through plastic filters for not so much cash. You might not want to use those on your bus day to day. Fill those with crud, keep your several pounds each filters for the road.
