What do you do to relax and de-stress! ......

  1. Apart from obviously getting out and about as often as possible in the bus.....

    Life being as beautiful and complicated as it is, I have increasingly found myself over the past few years becoming more and more tightly wound like a spring about to uncoil and have tried most things to help me relax. I just can't seem to find something that really works....
    I would love to hear what you guys do to help cope with the work/life balance we all struggle with.........

  2. lighting candles, running a bubble bath, and reading a good thriller book always helps me to forget about everything that's going on...

    going up on the moors and flying a kite is good too as you are concentrating on keeping it in the air... again clearing your mind of crap.... :)

    That's a real hard one to be honest. It's just so hectic balancing work all the time that it's difficult to find the time to relax ..making time often leads to thoughts of "I should be working...". When the time comes to relax it's either fall asleep or can't quite unwind.

    I imagine quite a few of us feel like this these days!!

  9. right now i'd love the time to do the things i would like to do to rebalance the work/life thing. but i don't have any :(

    normally i would spend time with my nephew, do the gardening (i enjoy it) and generally potter about. just lately with a restructure at work i haven't had a minute to myself, even at weekends.

    I should've been in bingley this weekend with my nephew as he got his first bike but... :(

    am working right now, can you tell? i'm sat writing documents and reports with a cup of herbal tea and a deep conditioning hair mask on and it STINKS! (egg yolks, avocado oil and honey) :D

    when i finish this particular doc i will then have a bath while watching something on iplayer, then i'll be back doing more work.

  11. Get mildly stoned. But alas I cant find any. So instead I listen to music. Would rather do both mind. Oh and moan about my inability to trace and buy my peccadillo.
     
  12. I've started doing yoga classes once a week. I get quite stressed and anxious and find it really calms me down and chills me out. I recommend it!

    If I tie my kite to my bike and cycle to a yoga class and then walk home smoking some erb whilst listening to some music on my I-pod
    I should feel preeeetty reeelaxed! Eh? Lol :):):)

    Oh if only it were that easy :) but I am feeling pretty inspired guys :) I guess we have to work hard at making time for ourselves as much as we work hard for others :)
     
  19. I used to get stoned and incredibly drunk but apparently thats not very healthy so now i just stay stressed
