    Heard about this on LB a week back. Bought it through Amazon. Makes Haynes look very poor. This looks the biz and pictures are in focus and not taken in an underground bunker.

    You’ll all probably have one.

    Basically Isaac Asimov's Foundation. He called it "psychohistory" it was used to manipulate the macro environment of crowds of humans, to cause history to reach particular crisis points, whose resolution would guide the future until the next crisis.
    It was derailed by a mutant human who created an unexpected crisis.. for a while.
    The aim was to reduce the gap between galactic empires from 10000 years to 1000..

    Apparently it was also one of the sources for Al-Qaeeda who were/are trying to do the same with Islam.
