What are these?

  1. Found these in the cellar.
    They look like vehicular type stuff. The logo on too looks like 'elixum'
    Quite rusted but clearly been green in the past.
    Any ideas? [​IMG]

    Looks like the backing of spot or fog lights
     
  3. Stick them in some white vinegar for a few days then see how they come up with a scrubbing with a toothbrush (toothbrushes always work on Time Team).

  5. i haven't got time to clean up rusty bits that aren't on the bus or bug:eek: moving house and working 90 miles away is taking up too much of my time :p

  8. ^^^WHS...looks like the semi circular cut out on either end are for cable or conduit entry...and they hinge down to allow access to whatever's behind them...fuses?
    could be wrong though....could be a heavy-duty tortoise valise

    are they heavy and made of cast iron....?

  16. Bet your mains board is in the cellar and its got new-ish bakelite main fuse!
